One of the Midwest’s most famous resort areas for over 150 years now has had an explosion of water parks. Our water park Kalahari, leads the way as one of the top rated water parks in America and we will be staying in one of the 400 guest rooms attached to the water park. While we are at Kalahari we will also enjoy unlimited usage of their indoor amusement and thrill park which is also attached under one roof in this huge complex. We’ll enjoy such traditional rides like go karts, 360 Spins to high tech like Dark Theater XD to Nascar and Sports Simulators, Lazer Tags, Rope Courses, Climbing Walls and much more. Also, one of the top activities among “student feedback for an event” is the “Ducks”. These are 18 to 20 seat open air amphibious assault vehicles replicating the famous Ducks from World War II. Take a trip both over land and in the water in this very unique mountain community in these unforgettable open air vehicles. There are over 133 restaurants in this resort community. We will have dinner one night at #1 rated (by TripAdvisor) “Mac’s” famous macaroni and cheese shop where each of many types of mac and cheese dinners is served in a mini cast iron skillet with some wonderful breads. The third highest rated restaurant out of 133 is Monk’s Sports Grill. It will be our dinner on night #2. American cuisine at its finest with sports screens and memorabilia everywhere. We’ll even dine for one of our lunches at the #5 rated restaurant by TripAdvisor in the area “MooseJaws”. Fun 2 Day or 3 Day – some students combine this with a night or two in Chicago!!
